  • Terrible Customer Service!!!



    My check engine light came on so I took it to CarMax to have it looked at. Was told by them they couldn%u2019t repair it because they didn%u2019t have the tools and that I would have to take it to Ford. Took it to Ford last Monday, they looked at it and submitted the information to the warranty group to see if it would be covered.     Had a warranty for replacement bulbs for my DLP TV. Called two months before the warranty was up and requested one bulb (warranty was for two). They said they would call be back, but they never did. Then I called back but the warranty was out, and they refused to send me a bulb stating the warranty was out.     I had purchased an under-counter freezer from Iceland (the store), with extended warranty from Iceland. After 3 years of good service, my freezer stopped working. Upon contacting Iceland, I was informed that the warranty contract had been transferred over to The Warranty Group.     I purchased a 2003 Mercedes Benz SL 500 from Dudley Martin Chevrolet back in March 2011. The car was beautifully kept both externally and internally. The initial test drive was great.   • Don't purchase a warranty through the Warranty Group



    I purchased a home warranty through the Warranty Group. This was a mistake. The company has so many exclusions on the policy that pratically nothing is covered. I have called about 4 repairs and everytime there is a loophole or an exclusion in the policy that prohibits me from making a claim on the policy. In addition, the marketing materials that the warranty was purchased from does not make this clear which is misleading to the consumer.     I have a "Home Protection Plan" through "The Warranty Group." The AC wasn't working properly so The Warranty Group gives me the name of a AC contractor to come out to fix the problem. It needed freon. Two weeks later AC isn't blowing cold air and air flow from some of the vents is poor. The Warranty Group gives the same name for the AC contractor.   • 21 Days to get Warranty covered part



    I have a Television that I purchased an extended Warranty on. The warranty is through a company called The Warranty Group. The Bulb in the DLP TV went out and up to two Bulbs are covered in my warranty. I called to submit my claim for the bulb on a Friday Morning. I was told that my bulb had been ordered and should be at my home in 7 to 10 Business Days. My wife and I bought a policy when we moved into a house we purchased back in 2010. In the spring of 2011 we ran into a problem with the air conditioner. The company sent out repair people to stall for time until our policy lapsed. Them they refused to fix the problem. To me, for an air conditioner to be working it must cool the house. For them if the air conditioner turns on and the fan blade spins then the air conditioner works.

They are either stupid or dishonest. I bet on dishonest.

I have had great experience with The Warranty Group...filed a claim and it was taken care of. Great customer service...great company! I've referred them to all my family and everyone has some sort of extended warranty with them.

I have tried for nine months to get the $150 auto rental refund back from The Warranty Group. They have played games with me, they are playing games with me.
