Home Protection Plan FAIL

I have a "Home Protection Plan" through " The Warranty Group ." The AC wasn't working properly so The Warranty Group gives me the name of a AC contractor to come out to fix the problem. It needed freon. Two weeks later AC isn't blowing cold air and air flow from some of the vents is poor. The Warranty Group gives the same name for the AC contractor. Comes out and can't find anything wrong with unit but thinks it's the compressor. Next day unit still isn't working call AC guy again and he comes out, has a nasty attitude and says the compressor is bad. I call the company who installed compressor just a few months ago and they come out and say that the compressor is working properly. I pay for this unnessecary visit. Call The Warranty Group and tell them I want a competent AC company to fix my AC and tell them that I'm staying at my daughters home and give them the contact number where I am. I wait 2 days and don't hear from them. I call and they tell me they left a messege with the name of new AC guy. They left the messege on my home voice mail instead of the contact number I gave them. So I get the name of a company which I call and I'm told by them that they do NOT work with warranty companies. I call The Warranty Group back and they said they'll find another AC guy. Again I tell them my contact number. Again I get no call back and I call them to find out they left a messege at my home instead of the number I gave them. I call the new (3rd) AC guy who says they don't work with warranty companies. It has now been a MONTH at my daughter's house so I beg this AC guy to please come and I promise to pay him. The AC unit just needed to be cleaned and two of the ducts needed to be reconnected. I pay the AC guy but I ask The Warranty Group to reimburse me because of the nightmare I'd been through because the first contactor they sent was incompetent. I had to pay for the compressor guy and I stayed a full month at my daughter's house with my two cats and her three dogs. I felt it was the least The Warranty Group could do...customer service. They refuse to compensate my for any on my expenses. They should have paid for the compressor guy because of the first contractors misdiagnosis. Nope! I know cleaning the AC system isn't covered but because of having to spend a month outside of my home because of their contractors mistake. Give me alittle something. Nothing! Shame on The Warranty Group for their complete lack of customer service, their lack of compassion for a 70 yr old recovering from cancer, their lack of competent contactors and just general lack of decency.

The problem with The Warranty Group has been resolved. Thanks to the people in Service Administration who were very understanding and happy to address the issue and come to a agreement that was fair for both of us. I'm very pleased with the outcome of this resolution and thankful to both the people in Service Administration at The Warranty Group for their help and Measuredup.com for the outlet to bring about this resolution.
